Exploration

Exploration
---
I draw in wizened fits
Frivolous maps where treasure is hidden
Counting each coin to here after twice
Quietly like a mouse in a houseful of cats
Gingerly drool like lil’men rushing a girly gate
A little corner I see comes bribing the dusk
On a meat’s tender parts deep in boots
The stair he came towards explains
That they climb into this cliff to nevermore
Sigh, my variegated sleep templates me
And a timer in this teasing corner ticks
Monsters? More monsters please?
I like the ones with hats on backwards
In bright colors where I can ambush them swift!
The war in my fingertips moves
As the flock of the moon slumps,
Flipping a coin I ask
Are the enemies of the mouse were not the cats?
